World Champion in 1995, Olympic Gold in 2000, and European Champion in 1987 and 1993. That is how the triumphs of Thailand's first group opponent Norway read. While the Norwegians could assert themselves, however, steadily as one top nation in women's football, the Asian Champion of 1983 meanwhile has fallen far behind nations like Japan, China and Korea.

Even Pellerud is the coach of the Norwegian national team and is now in charge for a second time after 1989-1996. Two years ago he lost the European Final against Thailand's other group opponent Germany. Though Silvia Neid's troop won at the end scarcely by a goal from Anja Mittag it was Norway who looked to be the better side in the Final. For the Scandinavian Pellerud it will be already his 6th Women's World Cup.

Finally on Tuesday evening it happened. As one of the last 24 teams the Thai women's national team announced his final squad for the 2015 World Cup in Canada.

Talented goalkeeper Jantima Khunpiphat had to make way for the 27-year-old Sukanya choir. Charoenying. She just returned from a few weeks in Sweden which she has spent with Östersunds DFF. Like her compatriot and experienced international Thanatta Chawong. For her, Thai-American Irravadee Makris was left out.

Irravadee Makris is a new name to the Thai women's national team and she made her debut during the AFF Championship in May. Two days before the national team is heading to Canada for the World Cup, we could talk to the Thai-American.

WIth all the players of the national team being busy these days it took as while to arrange the interview with the 23-year old Thai-American. But eventuelly it happened. And while she was on her way from a photo shooting to the training we could talk to her on the team, the coming World Cup, the four weeks camp in Holland and a lot more.

Panini Album on sale for the Womens World Cup 2015 (News)
Topic: Women's World Cup 2015Panini scrapebook cover for the Women's World Cup 2015
update Who does not know the collecting passion for Panini albums. And in 2011 the publisher entered unknown territory when he published a scrapbook to a Women''s World Cup for the first time. It was a great success and with the World Cup 2015, the Italians tie on to this newly established tradition.

During a childhood, almost everyone was indulged in collecting stickers for a Panini Album. And if the joy of collecting fell asleep when coming of age, she suddenly awakes with its first own child. Till 2011 the collecting, however, was limited to men's football only and fans of the women's game were left empty-handed.
