Asian Games 2010 - A good result against North Korea (News)
Topic: Thai women's national team
Our ladies lost their second match of group B, but conceded only two goals against the hot favourite North Koreans. However, the 2010 Asian Games are history for them.

After a 0-4 defeat in the first match against Japan, the under-23 ladies lost by two goals only against North Korea. Coach Jatuporn Pramolban made only some slide changes, mostly in the defence. North Korea went ahead when they awarded a penalty just after the half hour mark. Trailing by just one goal the Thai ladies went into the second half. But it took just a quarter until the Koreans scored their second goal. Even though the ladies fought with brave, they never had any real chance to turn the match into their favour.

Asian Games 210 - A defeat as expected (News)
Topic: Thai women's national team
Last Sunday Thailand under-23 ladies started into the XVI Asian Games. Japan was the opponent, ranked fifth in FIFA Worldranking, number one in Asia and finalist of 2006 Asian Games.

However, as expected our ladies had to take a defeat. Coach Jatuporn Pramolban started with a 4-5-1 formation. For nearly half an hour Thailand was able to hold on to a goal less draw until Ayako Kitamoto broke the deadlock. A few minute later Japan advanced with another goal and a 0-2 marked the half time result. Short after the break, one of the most talented strikers in Thailand, Nisa Romyen, was brought in and two strikers had been on the pitch. It all meant nothing as Japan marked the third goal of the night after one hour of play. In total, the ladies shot on goal on only two occasions and had only 36% of ball possession.

Asian Games 2010 - Womens next (News)
Topic: Thai women's national team
Thailands U23 men squad qualified for the round of the last 16 already. Now its the girls turn. However, opposite to their counterparts, we cannot  expect any goal or any point.

This statement have nothing to do with the skills of the girls, which we rate highly. Rather it is because of the opponents they will face in Group B. The Thai ladies will have to face the two top ranked womens national sides of Asia. Namely Japan and North Korea, which are also ranked within the Top-Ten in the World. So far Thailand women's national football team participated the Asian Games two times.
