Thai Port FC in finacial troubles? (News)
Topic: Thai League 1
As it looks like, the actual FA Cup winner is facing some serious financial troubles. According to a report the club is a 10 Millionen Baht debt.

According to thaileagueonline.com ,Thai Port FC is in serious financial troubles. 'trusted source' saying that Thai Port are in a 10 Million Baht debt, mainly coming from the renovation of the PAT Stadkium. Furthermore the report says that the board of Port Authority of Thailand, the owner of the club, is refusing to approve the budget for the football team, and that sponsorship money being used to keep the club going has almost run out. It looks like the only options for the club to survive is being sold to a privat investor. Otheriwse the club needs to be closed. Is this the beginnig? Or ist the end? Nevertheless, it sounds like "England is calling" to us but we wont hope that this will be the case. It would be a hard set back for the Football in Thailand. Espacially now.

Even if there are few more plays to be made up in the TPL, it is a half time of the season. At least on the first spot of the table there are no more changes to expect.  Muang Thong United is certain as the champ after the 1st leg already. Chonburi FC has still one more game in hand, however, even they might win their match, they won't be able to pass Muang Thong.

As expect MTU won superior against TOT-CAT. While pursuer Chonburi only managed to draw against Osotspa. Bangkok United celebrated their first away win of the season and Thai Port FC remains unbeaten at home as they won the Big Match against Bangkok Glass FC.

BEC-Tero vs Pattaya United
(c) esgede for thai-fussball.de

There was no other chance for us than to choose that headline. On Saturday you got the feeling that Muang Thong and Bangkok Glass where trying to score more goals than the other one, just miles apart. Chonburi lost at the same time in Buriram and his leading position in table as well.

Sisaket FC is still going strong, with no defeat out of the last 3 games. But they are still not able to climb up in the table, while BEC-Tero lost their third match in a row. The form of Anon Songsanoi, the Topscorer of the past two season, is getting better more and more. And even he was not able to avoid the defeat against Pattaya United at the last weekend.
