In the first part of our report about Chiang Rai Hills FC we learned what the club is and who is behind it. Now we continue our report with the second part. This part features the first piece of our interview with Khun Gerry. Here we are told by him how it all began.

thai-fussball.de: How did it came that the club arose from the Foundation? Other projects supported by the Foundation are rather artistic and musical nature.
Khun Gerry: It started with some guys from the hill-tribes visiting a game of Chiang Rai United. Thereby they got the idea play in its own team. Two of the guys then came to the foundation with their dream and we decided to provide assistance.

Chiang Rai Hills FC - A different kind of a football story - part 1 (News)
Topic: Off the pitch - ReportSome things need time. Like this report. We were on-site in January 2011, and it was written in February. Finally, itís now online.

Due to the length of the report, we have decided to publish it in a total of three parts. In our first part we would like to introduce the club. We will put the person behind the club on the spot and find out what itís all about. The second and third parts will mainly be in-depth interviews.

Footballers building a stadium with their own hands? Where could you find this nowadays? Imagine, for example, Beckham with a hard hat on his head and wearing overalls at a concrete-mixer while Ronaldo carries bricks in a wheelbarrow! But not for the purposes of modelling. Unthinkable? Yes.

Women Futsal in Thailand just at a beginning stage (News)
Topic: Off the pitch - Report

Apart Thailands women national football team, women football itself gains nearly no attention in Thailand. The same goes on for the womens national Futsal league. During the last weekend we took the chance to pay a visit and by chance we got an interview with the manager of the league and it's promoter.

Arriving at the venue, we found it nearly empty. The audience mainly was made out of friends and acquaintances from the players. Quite sad if you consider that nearly the whole national side is build up from players of the two top-teams. The ladies recently did well during the first inofficial worldcup, held in Spain back in December.

Siracha FC Cheerleader

Finally today we will release the last report about our Thai tour from May and June 2010. Within one week we were able to see two home matches of Siracha FC. The match against Customs FC at the same time marked the end of our trip. To watch at least one match of Siracha, was compulsory for us, because the city can be considered as our "homebase".

Well, an "An evening with Michael Byrne" wasn't really the headline we had in mind for our report. Moreover we where thinking about something like "A visit at Siracha FC". But how life goes, Michael Byrne wasn't the only surprise for us at that night.

A few days ahead of our first match, we made an appointment already with our old friend Dale Ferrington and his kind wife Nui. On our schedule, the 2nd round of the Thai FA Cup. Opponent, league rival Songkhla.
