Futsal World Cup: Official Logo unveiled (News)

Official World Cup Logo
The countdown to the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2012, officially kicked off since this week. Finally, on a press conference, with a lot of celebrities, the competitive logo was introduced. For the first time 24 nations take part the world championship which will be held in November later this year.
From the 2 November to 18 November 2012 the 7th Futsal world championship takes place in Thailand. On a media event which had not much to offer except richly political top brass, the official logo was introduced to the world and in therefore rang the countdown. Beside federation president Worawi Makudi and Suwat Liptapanlop, prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra gave herself the honor. Everybody agreed that the world championship offers a big chance for Thailand and is a big honor to host it.

King's Cup: teams and fixture confirmed (News)

Now they are certain. Fixtures as well as venue and participant for the 41st King's cup. Other than reported in October North Korea are not to take part.
For the last time the King's cup, which is held to honour his Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej, took place was in December 2010. Nakhon Ratchasima hosted the tournament. Beside the home team a Denmark, Poland and Singapore selection played for honour that time. As same as in 2010 the Danes travel to Thailand and are able to defend the title. However, coach Morten Olsen is not to nominate a full national team. Instead he will select a squad with promising players from the Danish league. It could be become interesting to watch them, as we might see some elected later next year for the Euro 2012.

German All-Stars to visit Bangkok (News)
 From 3rd to 7th November the so called "DFB-Traditionsmannschaft" is going to visit Bangkok. It is a selection of former German national players, who as highlight of their visit, take on a Thai selection on 6 November 2011. Everything under the theme "Clash of the Legends".The tour will be kicked off with a press conference on 3 November followed by a dinner at the Old German Beerhouse. As guests of honor the German ambassador and representative from the Thai FA will be present. On the following day, Olaf Marschall, Michael Schulz and Matthias Herget are to hold a training for children next to the Rajamanagala stadium. The tours highlight will be the match against a Thai All-star team on 6 November at Chulalongkorn stadium. Kick off 16:00. Tickets are already on sale, and available via Thai Ticket Major in two categories. 150 Baht (opposite stand) and 300 Baht main stand. In addition your are able to purchase VIP tickets, including a Meet & Greet with the stars of both teams after the game, are 1.500 Baht and can be purchased at the Old German Beerhouse, Sukhumvit Soi 11.

King's Cup in January? (News)

Since quite a while the King's Cup appears on the official league calendar, in January. It was hard to believe since it appears, but a 41th edition of the tournament seems now to become reality as latest report suggest.
The King's Cup is a traditional football tournament to honor his Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. It is held since 1968 and in January 2010 it was held for the last time when a league selected squad from Denmark lifted the trophy. Thai media did not reporting on a possible new edition yet, they more surprising the announcement of the Danish football association which has agreed to an invitation for January 2012. According to this, the Danish selection should travel to Thailand from 10 to 23 January. Morten Olsen looks forward to the competition as a good opportunity to test players with perspective. Furthermore it says the cup should take place in Bangkok. As host Thailand of course would take part beside Denmark. Remaining two teams are not confirmed and known yet.

League Cup final called off due to flood (News)
 Due to the current situation around the floods in Thailand, several matches scheduled for this weekend is called off. Not only regular league ties are affected, above all the Toyota League Cup Final. Due to the postponements caused by the floods, but not at all, Thai Premier
League season 2011 is now scheduled to end on 7 January 2012.The floods have reached the gates of Bangkok and suburban areas in north-east and northwest are already flooded. In contrast the situation in the city centre is still quiet, even if tensely. Suphachalasai stadium, the venue for the League Cup final, located in the heart of the city is not hit at status. Nevertheless the final which should take place there this Saturday was called off. Mostly because of security reasons and fans from Buriram may would have to undertake a journey under heavy circumstances.
