Round of 16: Chonburi to host Al-Zawraa (News)
Topic: AFC Cup
On Tuesday evening in the round of last 16 it comes to an one-off AFC Cup tie between Chonburi and Al-Zawraa SC. In the home match the Sharks have the chance to advance to the quarterfinal for a third time after 2009 and 2011.

As winner of group G, Thailand's representative qualified for the knock-out stage. It secured him the so important home advantage. In just one meeting which decides who is making it to the next round, Coach Haeng and his troops would have been certainly anything but happy about a trip to Bagdad. AFC Cup: Chonburi earns home right (News)
Topic: AFC Cup
After an away victory against Home United, Chonburi FC is certain as a group winner and earned the right to play on home soil in the round of last 16. After 2009 and 2011 the Sharks reached the knock-out stage of the AFC Cup for a third time.

With his opening goal after five Minutes, Chonburi skipper Pipob On-Mo put his side on track. Ex-Home United Kengne Ludovick could have raised the score shortly afterwards but the crossbar saved for the host. Short before the half an hour mark Therdsak Chaiman then saw his attempt cleared off the line by defender Rosman Sulaiman. Home United coach Lee Lim-saeng brought in striker Frédéric Mendy right after and the home side started became more dangerous. However, both sides went into the break with Chonburi's slim margin of one goal. But Home United now played like a team, that want to become group winner.

AFC Cup: Crusial game for Chonburi (News)
Topic: AFC Cup
Last day of the AFC Cup group stage and Chonburi FC have to take on Home United. Both teams are already qualified for next round. However, the game is about nothing less than who is winning the group.

Because the intermediate round is held in a one-legged tie, so without a return match, all group winners automatically earn the right to play at home, and this makes this match so volatile. All the more if you consider teams from Chonburi's group G going to face opponents from group E. All teams of the group are from Middle East and long distance traveling could be avoided. Particularly as there was mostly hardly to win something for Thai representatives in this part of the world.

AFC Cup: Citizen AA next for Chonburi (News)
Topic: AFC Cup
Hong Kong side Citizen AA is next for Chonburi in the Thai's third match of Group G. Three points from the tie would help the Sharks getting a step closer to next round.

Despite of the long season break at the beginning of the year, things are not running very smoothly for Chonburi so far. Only 5 points out of three league clashes and four out of two in the AFC Cup, are not enough by their own standards. Though same can be said about the Sharks next AFC opponent, Citizen AA. Standing in the shade of Kitchee SC, Pegasus and South China AA, the club from Mong Kok district currently is sitting on a fifth place in Hongkong domestic league.
