Club info

Rayong FC was founded in 2009. In his first year of its participation in the Regional League, the side was good enough to finish mid-table. Between 2010 and 2012 Rayong FC qualified three times for the promotional play-offs.

The club came up short by the margin of just one point in 2010 and 2011. But finally in 2012 fans and players had reason enough to celebrate promotion.

However, the adventure lasted for only one season in Thailand's second tier and it took the side two more years to get back and start a new adventure in 2016.

notable:

Just in the year of its foundation, Rajanvy Rayong (nowadays Siam Navy FC) moved into town and stadium. The club who moved in from Sattahip played in the Thai Premier League this time and attracted big crowds. Games such against Chonburi FC have set new league records .

In 2011 Navy moved back to Sattahip. But Rayong FC's hope to be the only club in town received a setback after a while. PTT FC, until 2011 a club known for having a new home every six months, eventually found a permanent home in Rayong and erected his own stadium, now one of the best in Thailand, about 20 kilometeres north of the Provincial stadium.
